Terms and Conditions
To make a reservation a Booking Form must be completed and sent to us together with payment of a deposit amounting to 20% of the rate for the period being booked. To confirm, Booking Form and deposit must be received by us within five working days from the date of any telephoned, emailed, or verbal booking. If confirmation is not received we reserve the right to offer the period provisionally reserved to others.
Rates quoted include electricity and oil for the central heating. Firewood or coal are not included but may be purchased locally or ordered in advance. Central heating is installed in all rooms and the house is fully double glazed. Rates are based on occupancy of up to six persons irrespective of age.
20% of the charges are payable at the time of booking and the balance is due at least five weeks before the date of arrival. We reserve the right to cancel the booking and re-let if the balance is not paid by the due date. Allowance should be made for delays in postage and the time taken to clear cheque payments. For bookings made six weeks or less before arrival date full payment of the rate due should be made at the time of booking.
Deposits and payments are not normally refundable unless we are able to re-let the holiday or break period booked, in which case a partial re-fund may be possible. We suggest you consider holiday insurance if you are concerned that you might have to cancel for reasons outside your control.
A more detailed sheet covering the conditions of let are sent out at the time of confirmation of booking. Bookings are not confirmed until a Booking Form and cleared payment has been received. Following receipt of a completed Booking Form and the relevant payment we issue an invoice acknowledging the payment. This confirms the booking. We send this invoice together with a copy of our general conditions of let.
We reserve the right to alter conditions without prior notice.
